SUNDAY, JANUARY 11th, 2009 – The premiere meeting of the Central Iowa Sewing Rebellion in Ames – Bring yourself, a friend, fabric scraps, things to mend, food to share.
We will be learning mending techniques, buttons sewing techniques, and making our own fabric covered buttons from washers and scrap fabric. Bring your coat with the hole in the pocket, that shirt with the missing button, those pants with the hole in the knee. Brunchluck (breakfast/lunch potluck) to start at noon, demos at 1ish, and sewing free for all until 4. Drop in when you can, leave when you need to. Nothing to mend? Bring a project to work on or a question to ask. All are welcome!
Check the “Upcoming” page when you want to learn what the next meeting will be focusing on and when it will be taking place.
